Yesterday we arrived in Amsterdam at around 1pm.  Decker, Budge and I took the 10am train leaving Antwerp, and it was supposed to be arriving in Amsterdam at noon, but there were some delays on the track which changed our schedule a bit.  Sean and Kraft had flown into Amsterdam from London at around 8am, so they were just walking around and checking things out before we got there.  It was a little tricky trying to rendez vous in the train station, but alas we all found eachother and were able to book our 6.5 our train to Berlin tomorrow morning (Friday)...long train ride. 

After leaving the station, the charm of the city stood right out to us from the get go.  Its beautiful cathedrals and city buildings, its concentric streets centered around the central train station.  The canals are beautiful, and the brick streets make each neighborhood seem like a great picture opportunity.  Since it was raining, we didn't do too much sightseeing, instead we took some time to do our laundry and to go watch the Championship League title game at one of the bars.  We found an English pub that had the atmosphere we were looking for....a loud Barcelona crowd, and an equally loud British crowd (a rugby team).  It was a good time. Afterwards, Brian and I decided that we couldn't leave Amsterdam without visiting the infamous Red Light District.  It was definitely an experience; something that couldn't be done anywhere other than Amsterdam.  Didn't take pictures though...thought it might be a little distasteful.  Pictures will be up either today or tomorrow...just need to find an internet cafe that allows downloads.
